Caritas Medan is a humanitarian organisation under the Archdiocese of Medan and
also the member of the Caritas Internationalis association. It was
established on February 2005 as the response of tsunami disaster that occurred
in Aceh at the end of 2004. Cordia itself helps in overcoming the tsunami
victims in Aceh and Nias as well. Cordia has three program divisions for
current projects. There are Social Division, DRR and ER Division and Livelihood
Divison. Cordia has been running project of CMDRR in some areas of North Sumatra.
Therefore Cordia is looking for qualified candidates to fill the position below

1. Job
Title : Field Officer
Required Number : 1 (one) person
Location : Medan
Division : DRR - ER

Position Summary:
CMDRR Field Officer is responsible in facilitating CMDRR project in selected community,
should willing to travel to out of town and stay in the village for a few days
regularly every month. The field officer will be responsible in providing
activities report and monthly progress report to project manager.

information and progress reports from Focal Points and Community Organizations
and prepares required information for DRR ER Coordinator through DRR Project
· Also
responsible to support Group Leader in terms of group activity, documentation,
reporting as required.
· In
charge of the monthly monitoring of the CMDRR Program through getting involved
in all community activities in the assigned CMDRR selected areas.
· Preparing
and involve in mid-term and yearly evaluation of the community action planning.

*I. Organizational Context

Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is a United Nation agency which
provides technical assistance in Indonesia. One of our projects since 2006
provides support for the control of Avian Influenza, in cooperation with
national and regional Indonesian government livestock authorities. Project
activities are conducted in various locations nationwide.
Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative in Indonesia, in
close cooperation with the FAO Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI)
Control Programme Team Leader and Technical Officers, members of the AI
Operational Support Unit and under the direct supervision of the Cleaning
Station Engineer, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing
construction project implementation.

Knowledge in technical/material specifications and requirements as well as
project scheduling.
Strong computer skills in engineering applications: AutoCAD and Project
Planning; other 3D applications will be an advantage (i.e. 3D Sketchup, 3D
Max, etc.).
Previous experience working in the Greater Jakarta area and additional
knowledge of poultry sector and biosecurity will be an advantage.
Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working within a team.

Project Brief:

Education Recovery Program aims to rebuild the lives of teachers and students and to restore the education sector in disaster-afflicted areas in cooperation with the local government, educational offices and our partners. Since 2004, we have deployed humanitarian aid projects under the Education Recovery Program in Aceh, Yogyakarta , Pangandaran, and many other places across the country.

With the support of various stakeholders, we have been able to provide school facility assistance, emergency school tents, water purification systems, school rehabilitation and construction, lab school construction and provincial library rehabilitation. We have also provided teacher and student scholarships, teacher training, textbook donations, and national test and university entrance exam preparation tutorials.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of Education Recovery Program, including:

1. Prepare consolidated Annual Work Plans and budgets, and regular performance reports under the guidelines of the Program Director
2. Assist the Program Director in monitoring, reviewing, and identifying new programs and activities of the Education Recovery Program
3. Work closely with the Program Director to align the priorities and activities of projects with the priorities and developments of the Foundation, and to ensure effective and timely implementation
4. Support the Program Director in authorizing the commitment of expenditures in line with the scope of approved projects and work plans
5. Maintain a consolidated record of overall programs and project initiatives funded by donors
6. Prepare Terms of Reference for and mobilize consultancy inputs that are required to support program planning and monitoring work (as necessary)
7. Promote and support donor coordination initiatives
8. Support team work, effective information flow and problem-solving for the Education Recovery Program team

Required Qualification:
1. Bachelors Degree in social sciences or other related fields
2. Project management certification is an added value
3. At least 5 years experience in managing development projects and/or community development programs, preferable building reconstruction
4. Knowledge and professional experience on logical frameworks of project planning process, including budgeting
5. High level of English (oral and written)
6. Excellent communications skills (ability to present complex information to a wide variety of internal and external audiences)
7. Initiative to work independently with minimal supervision at times
8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
9. Computer Skills: Office, Project Management, Mind map.

This position is for 3 months employment status as Temporary staff.

2. Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant - WSERR
Responsible for assisting with the monitoring and evaluation of the program, including development of M&E tools and plans, beneficiary and indicator tracking, data compilation and participatory analysis, contribution to reports and preparation of communication materials. The successful candidate will have a well-developed ability to analyze data and utilize lessons learned for the continuous improvement of program implementation and promote a culture of learning.

Close engagement, partnership and capacity building with local government, local NGOs, private sector and community partner is critical.
This position is for 2 months employment status as Temporary Staff.

· 3 years of field-based experience in assessments;
· Demonstrated experience and expertise in emergency response and economic development, including understanding of international norms and frameworks, prominent actors, best practices;
